This post will teach you how to do article marketing properly. Article marketing, when done properly, is an effective method for making money online, building backlinks, and driving traffic to your site.

I will try to reconstruct how to write an article for you now. First, we need to figure out which keyphrase we want to optimize. Let’s say we want to write an article on “easy article marketing.” So, we would do some research and write an article (maybe 300-700 words) on how to do article marketing easily. Since everyone always wants the easy way out, this may be a good topic to write about.

So anyway, you would write the article. Make sure it makes sense and is of value to readers. Use your keyword (“easy article marketing”, in this case) about 1-4% of the time. Don’t put your keyphrase in the article too much more than that.

Make sure you have a catchy title. Numbers are good. Examples: “10 Ways to Faster and Easier Article Marketing”, “Easy Article Marketing Explained”, etc.

How to Generate Backlinks Fast

After you are finished writing the article, go over to article directory sites like www.ezinearticles.com or www.goarticles.com and submit your article. Fill in the corresponding boxes for your title, your description, article body, keywords, and author bio box. The author bio box is where you can put your backlinks. Here is an example:

I recommend one phrase in the achor text you are optimizing for, and one link back to your site’s domain name. This is what works for me, but everyone is different.

Then after your article is submitted, wait until it is approved. Once it is approved, then you have live backlinks pointing back to your site.

Simple, but not easy. Article marketing is a great strategy to build backlinks and drive traffic to your site, if done properly and over time.

  • Write an article optimized for a certain keyword/keyphrase
  • Go over to an article directory
  • Fill in the appropriate info
  • Don’t forget to put backlinks in the author bio box
  • Submit the article
  • When it is accepted, you have backlinks to your site
  • Rinse and repeat

In case you were wondering, there are hundreds of article sites. Just go over to Google and type in “article directory sites” and you can find ones to submit articles to.

As a warning, search engines do not like duplicate content. This means that you should not submit the same article to more than one article directory.
